We were greeted warmly by Kiki and Remy impressed us with his driving right away. We loved all 3 hotels, they were so nice and each hotel’s staff was so helpful, and all had excellent showers.
The hotels all had great food but the real food highlights were the lunches and dinners during our excursions. Leo ( biking) and Romel, Gonzo, and Santiago were excellent chefs!!
The logistics were phenomenal! All of our rides/ guides were always there early and we never had to worry or even think about getting from activity to activity.
All of the specialty equipment provided for rafting and biking was in great shape and clearly explained to us. It’s hard to explain how perfect our days with Amazonas were. The guides were so thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable. They taught us so much about Peru and its history. From rafting to Apurimac to biking the Sacred Valley to hiking the Inca Trail to exploring Mapi, we’re overwhelmed with all the beauty.
We felt like Kiki, Wilheim, Leo; Ronny, Gonzo, Romel, and especially our “primo” Santiago Carlin, are family now. We loved them all. Kiki is like familia, from our 1st tour of Cusco through our 2 days in Mapi, he excelled in every area. We had stomach issues for the hike and he was so patient and thoughtful. Santiago encouraged us to “cliff” jump and just every minute of skill and knowledge he brought to the trip exploring Mapi, a sunrise based on Kiki’s rec, was perfect. Honestly, nothing was bad other than our own health issues. Amazonas excelled at every level.
