Charlie Cripps is the youngest member of the Cripps clan to join Amazonas Explorer in 2025, before heading off to Buenos Aires to study Biology. Charlie supports Carol in the reservations department, updating key documents such as maps, risk assessments, safety procedures, and building Excel databases for all trips.
Beyond reservations, Charlie has taken on a variety of tasks, including confirming bookings, helping with boards, preparing first aid kits, and contributing to social media posts. Although not an official staff member, Charlie can often be seen coming in and out of the office, cheerfully delivering cups of tea and biscuits.
Charlie also enthusiastically participates in all Amazonas Explorer events, from tree planting and the porters’ party to group excursions. A true plant lover, he is responsible for maintaining the Amazonas gardens—a role he performs with great care and dedication. It has been a real pleasure to have Charlie helping out on and off in the office.
