Alex “Bike” — known by this nickname to avoid confusion with Alex in Administration and Alexandra in Projects — is our dedicated Amazonas Explorer bike mechanic. He is responsible for preparing and thoroughly checking every bike before it heads out on a trip, ensuring each one is in top condition. He also carries out any necessary maintenance and carefully cleans the bikes upon their return.
A passionate downhill biker and the owner of his own bike shop (Called Alex Bike), he brings real expertise and hands-on experience to his role. Although he works with us part-time, Alex plays a vital role in maintaining the highest health and safety standards across all our biking adventures.
