Explore Titicaca from Cusco

Experience the breathtaking beauty and rich culture of the Peruvian Andes on a three-day journey from Cusco. The adventure begins with a scenic drive through highland valleys, small villages, and pre-Inca archaeological sites, offering an authentic glimpse into the daily life and history of the region. Along the way, travelers can enjoy panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, stop at traditional towns, and savor a delicious buffet lunch while surrounded by the dramatic Andean landscape.

Once in Puno, the gateway to Lake Titicaca, the trip continues with a full-day boat excursion to the famous Uros floating islands and Taquile Island. On the floating islands, you’ll meet the Uros people and learn about their centuries-old reed-building techniques and unique way of life. Taquile Island offers a closer look at vibrant local traditions, including intricate weaving and terrace farming. The journey concludes with a visit to the Sillustani funerary towers, ancient stone tombs overlooking Lake Umayo, before returning to Juliaca to catch a flight out. Peru EXPERTS

I’m not sure anyone knows more about having adventures in the Cusco area of Peru (and beyond) than Amazonas Explorer. Guides are properly trained, itineraries are well-thought-out; the emphasis is on safety but also on FUN! They do the classic trips brilliantly but also have lots of ideas for more offbeat escapades. And they’re a B Corporation, too, so have excellent environmental credentials. Check out Sarah’s adventure, our in depth Sacred Valley Explorer, here.
